Happy New Year! Winter time is here and at this time of year we tend to need more vitamin D as we see very little sun in some parts of the country. Typically 1000 IU of vitamin D is recommended daily as supplementation. It is a good idea to get tested for vitamin D levels through your primary care doctor. If found to be deficient in vitamin D, your doctor may recommend an increase in the amount of daily supplementation.
